Tech-tility: The space between the real and the virtual. In our contemporary world, we spend our time connected with others through social media. It has become difficult to distinguish what is real from what is "Photoshopped." In this photo shoot, we show the controversial topic of human cloning, which is banned in most countries and has allegedly only been attempted. This controversial topic seemed ideal for a deeper investigation into tech-tility. In the future human cloning may become something commonly seen and talked about. With the use of mirrors placed strategically, we replicated the model, Aerin Kennedy, creating a digital optical illusion showing more angles of the same person. I worked with designer Sofia Lombardi Lavaggi, a FIT graduate based in Milan. The amazing detail in her work and her effortlessly sleek modern pieces worked flawlessly for this futuristic, elegant concept.
