The Butterfly Effect

My work is about exploring life based on experience and perception. Life is full of uncertainty, is about irrevocable choices and consequences that could be either intriguing or unable to withstand. A “Butterfly” flaps its wings and leads us to embark on a different life journey. This collection was inspired by the Butterfly Effect and the novel “4321” by Paul Auster and shows the evolution of innovative shapes and the creation of impactful effects through manipulation and traditional couture. Pleated fabrics mimic the air movement, rough and distressed fabric represent frustration. As for colors, black signifies initial chaos, blue a peaceful life, white insipidness, and red a yearning for passion.
