This collection stems from the accumulation of our memories, exploring its presence in the subconscious manifestations of our minds, emphasizing on the idea that we are not only a‘body’, but also a ‘soul.’ However, a question is always raised about the validity of our memories, analytical methods and opportunities through which we can defy cultural norms. The rib knit jersey used as fabric for my dress is actually the yardage of fabric used to make collars for polo jerseys. This technique was used in India during colonization. The motifs that are consistent in the fabrics include the pink brain marble scan, and handmade textures to represent skeletal scans and cell structures.
