The ROKU collection was inspired by the number 6 and the six-sided shape hexagon. In number philosophy, the number six symbolizes unity, harmony and a balanced togetherness with nature and our very core. The philosophy of “itaidoshin” which is Japanese for “many in body, one mind in mind” was the foundation of this concept , to show a seamless harmony between two polar opposites, geometry and nature, brought together through multiple forms. The inspiration of hexagons was implemented by the use of acrylic hexagon laser cutouts embroidered onto fabrics in different sizes, colours, texture finishes and patterns. The inspiration of nature was brought to life by the dyed acrylics, using the tones of the evening skies i.e. shades of purple and blue. The colours were used on fabric spray dyeing to mimic the texture of the clouds. The final collection consists of clean, minimalistic and wearable constructions.
