The Unification collection project for the FW 2021-22 season is inspired by the experience of the designer's family, by the history of fashion and by the sociological issues at the center of today's life. The train tracks, as parallels that never meet, are the clothes’ key elements. The concept is developed starting from this image, connected to non-binary sexuality, to the concept of genderless, as well as to a man-woman union in the same dress, going against the stereotypes that have always influenced our society. One of the most important inspirations came from 17th-century gowns, rich in frilly ruffles, flounces, bulky sleeves and skirts, while details are inspired by the 1950s. These cuts were combined with military uniforms, also seeking the types of uniform that several train companies used for their employees over time, and combining them with previous inspirations. The imprint is always formal, rigorous, made of clean cuts and square lines. Neutral colours add a serious feel; the study of colours was based on warm and cold palettes, to create unexpected combinations. As if they were two parallel tracks, even their nuances travel continuously and intertwine within the garments.
