The challenge presented to aspiring Istituto Marangoni stylists and launched by Borsalino, stems from a desire to reverse the traditional process of styling a look, this time starting from the choice of the accessory as the first step. The result of this expressive exercise is the highlight of the new Borsalino campaign, shot along Milan’s most iconic streets by the famed photographer Joseph Cardo, which sees the students in the dual role of stylists and models. The project gave voice to the creative vision of young talents, guided by Art Director Giacomo Santucci • Creative Curator at Borsalino, and supported by Michela Guasco • Programme Leader of the Fashion Styling area at Istituto Marangoni Milano. Students Arianna Lonati, Aurora Mattioli, Francesca Marchesi, Gaia Mottura, Greta Monticone, Ida Baghino, Luca Gonella, Paolo Vecchies and Riccardo Fontata were given the opportunity to choose a hat from the new Borsalino Fall Winter 21-22 collection and to create a special look, free from style constraints, where the hat stops being a simple accessory and becomes a way to promote the importance of diversity - conceived as a key element of innovation and cultural growth, which Borsalino aims to promote.
